John Cena: The Miz Is The Most Underrated WWE Superstar In The History Of The Business

We have seen John Cena wrestle just about everyone and he credits The Miz as the most underrated WWE superstar in history of the business.

Heading into Money in the Bank (MITB), we knew titles were up for grabs and two people would walk away with briefcases. Also, we learned a few days prior Trish Stratus would be there because she lives not far away and she was not alone. She introduced John Cena , which was a huge surprise. There was a little talk a few hours before MITB how Cena was spotted. Although, not guarantee he would appear.

Well, Cena appeared and cut an important promo . He will be retiring in 2025, with WrestleMania 41 being the end. This was not a storyline and simply Cena letting the fans know about his decision. After the show, Cena was part of the MITB media scrum. He happily overstayed his allowed time and answered every question in an honest way. He came across looking like the perfect model for an employee. There is lots of speculation about how Cena’s career will end, such as opponents and if he surpasses Ric Flair with 17 World Championship reigns .

John Cena And The Miz Have A Long History

Before that major news, A&E Biography WWE Legends was working a piece about The Miz and Cena commented. “[Th Miz] is the most, not one of the most, the most underrated WWE Superstar in the history of the business,” said Cena. And, he might be right as The Miz overcame being bullied by the roster to being WWE Champion. In fact, he pinned Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27 to remain WWE Champion. That storyline also saw The Miz also work with The Rock. At WrestleMania 33, Cena & Nikki Bella teamed to defeat The Miz & Maryse. Therefore, Cena and Miz have plenty of history.

I always felt like The Miz never got the respect he deserved. The fact that he came from The Real World on MTV might not have helped. Although very green and not great at first, Miz kept going and now he has worked with every top star in WWE. People might not agree, but The Miz deserves a Hall of Fame spot alongside Cena. As for Cena, we are not sure what his retirement tour will look like. Whatever happens, we would not mind seeing The Miz vs John Cena one more time.
