    The 38-year-old South Korean actor Kim Seon Ho rose to fame after playing the male lead in the popular rom-com K-drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. He even became Gallup Korea’s Actor of the Year for 2021. Actress Shin Min A played the female lead, Yoon Hye Jin, opposite him in the series. The feel-good storyline and undeniable chemistry between the two lead actors captured the hearts of many fans and went on to become their comfort K-drama.

    Apart from Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Kim Seon Ho has also acted in another hit K-drama series, Start-Up. The actor is all set to play the lead roles in two highly awaited upcoming K-dramas. It includes Can This Love Be Translated? and The Tyrant. This article looks at some of his popular shows.

    Start-Up

    It is a popular K-drama that first aired on October 17, 2020, on tvN. Park Hye Ryun wrote the series, while Oh Chung Hwan directed it. In Start-Up, actor Kim Seon Ho portrays the second male lead role of Han Ji Pyeong.     Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

    It is a highly beloved romantic-comedy slice-of-life K-drama that debuted on tvN on August 28, 2021. The drama is an adaptation of Kang Seok Beom and Shin Jung Goo’s popular film, Mr. Handy and Mr. Hong. In Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Kim Seon Ho portrays one of the central characters, Hong Du Sik. Meanwhile, Shin Min A plays the other main character, Yoon Hye Jin.

    In the series, Hong Du Sik lives a unique and peaceful lifestyle away from the city in his hometown of Gongjin. However, the character has a tragic past that left a deep trauma inside him. He begins to open up and overcome his traumas after meeting a city girl, Yoon Hye Jin. She opens a detailed clinic in Gongjin after facing turbulence at work in Seoul. Viewers can watch the K-drama online on Netflix.

    The Tyrant

    It is a highly-anticipated K-drama thriller that will premiere on Disney Plus on August 14, 2024. Park Hoon Jung will appear as both the writer and director of The Tyrant. In the series, Kim Seon Ho will portray one of the main characters, Director Choi. The man is a member of a Korean government agency that has been unofficially running a secret initiative called The Tyrant Project.

    The upcoming K-drama will chronicle the story of the race to get a stolen bioweapon between the US and Korean intelligence agencies. Besides Kim Seon Ho, The Tyrant also stars Cha Seung Won, Kim Kang Woo, and more. Viewers will be able to watch the series on Disney Plus.

    Can This Love Be Translated?

    It is a much-awaited rom-com K-drama that will debut on Netflix in 2025. The renowned Hong sisters wrote the drama. Meanwhile, Yoo Young Eun directed the series. Actor Kim Seon Ho will play the male lead, Ju Ho Jin, opposite Go Youn Jung. She will portray the female lead, Cha Mu Hee.

    Can This Love Be Translated? will depict the fascinating love story between a multilingual interpreter and a top South Korean actress. Fans have been excited to see how this K-drama starring Kim Seoh Ho will turn out.
