Last night country star Zach Bryan took to X to thrill fans by answering questions about his latest album The Great American Bar Scene.

His answer to his question about his hit song 28 is giving fans all the feels.

Someone on X asked, "Zach, how was it like making 28, a great song!" to which Bryan replied, "Boston, our puppy was going into surgery, and I told Brianna, “How lucky are we?” to have -had- a puppy so beautiful, and she came out of it just fine; I wrote it the next day because I felt like the luckiest man on the planet.”

Part of the lyrics are: How lucky are we?It's been a hell of a week, but we're all grown now There's smoke seepin' out of the bar down the street But we're home somehow.

When recounting the story, Zach's girlfriend said, "Boston ate something, we brought her to the vet the day after we said she's not acting right, we think she swallowed plastic or metal, and they were like ah she's fine she'll pass it , and they sent us home. Two days later we were all she's still not acting right, can you check her out? She was like literally seizing so we ran out of that vet and took her to the emergency room and she needed to get emergency surgery."

Here's the story from when Boston went to the veterinarian from the BFFs Podcast, which Bryan's girlfriend, Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.

That post also states that Boston's surgery cost her owners a whopping $20,000.

What a frightening story about the vet but we are so glad to see Boston is doing fine now and inspiring her talented dog dad to create songs about her! Boston isn't the only pup who has inspired songs though.

Old King by Neil Young. Young's dog Elvis used to go on tour with him.

Man of the Hour by Norah Jones. Rover says, "The Real-Life Dog Tale: This gorgeous, bluesy number is an homage to Norah’s poodle, Ralph , who the song tells us makes a much better companion than any of the men she’s seeing.

“I like to say that he’s a scruffy, manly poodle. Because you say poodle and people start rolling their eyes,” she explained. “My dog-ological clock started to tick. So I got a dog—it’s great. I’m madly in love with him.”
