14U and 19U All-Star teams compete in state tournaments

SENECA, S.C. — The Newberry County 14U and 19U All-Star teams competed in the Dixie Boys Baseball State Championship games over the weekend.

The 19U team played in North Charleston, S.C. at Collins Park. They were able to finish as runner-ups in the Dixie Majors State tournament.

The 14U team competed hard but came up just short. They played at the Shaver Complex in Seneca, S.C. They lost a hard fought game against Jefferson on Saturday in the first matchup. Then lost another hard fought battle against Gaston in their 4:00 p.m. matchup.

Congratulations to both squads on a wonderful season!
