Hey y’all, the full FTWtoday team, here. Between the three of us, we get the privilege of sharing local news, events, and conversations with 60,000+ readers both in the newsletter and on social media .

After nearly three years of bringing you FTWtoday, we thought we should formally re-introduce ourselves with a little Q+A.
Consider this us going in for a fist bump, switching to a handshake, and then settling on a hug.

    Meet Senior City Editor Kate

Hit us with your favorite piece of local trivia:
Did you know the World’s Second Oldest Continuously Burning Light Bulb has been shining bright in Cowtown since 1908? The “Light Bulb Methuselah” was originally installed in a local opera house before relocating to the Stockyards Museum in 1977.

If you could only write about one topic for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I’d write about design and construction. As a former almost-architect, I’m a building nerd and love peaking over construction fences. In my down time , you can find me perusing the world-class architecture in the
    Cultural District.

    Meet City Editor Ted

Describe your perfect Fort Worth day in the length of a tweet:
My perfect day would include some mixture of fuel at Race Street Coffee , walking or biking the Trinity Trails system (ideally in the fall) , working outside (er, same) , plus stops at Martin House Brewing Company , Little Red Wasp , and live music.

What do you think Fort Worth will look like in 10 years?

I’m really excited to see what happens with the Panther Island Project and the continued development of the Northside. Vision 2.0 has been interesting to watch unfold, and the upcoming Stockyards expansion could be a game-changer.

    Meet Sales Executive Mari

What does your ideal Saturday morning in Fort Worth look like?
I would jog the Trinity with my husband, six-month-old, and dog. Then, we’d get a matcha latte from Cafe Momento and grab some wings and a cold beer from our favorite bar Nickel City for lunch.

What is one fun fact about you?
I’m originally from California and moved to Texas (only knowing three people) after backpacking Europe in 2015. My parents loved my decisions that year. I ended up meeting my husband at the first place I worked when I moved to Texas.
