    Tornado watch lifted in Twin Tiers

    The tornado watch that was originally in place until 9 p.m. in the Twin Tiers was lifted for Bradford and both Tioga counties shortly before 8:45 p.m. The watch was lifted for Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben about one hour earlier.


    Bradford County; Tioga County, New York; and Tioga County, Pennsylvania are under a tornado watch as of 7:35 p.m. The watch was lifted for Chemung Schuyler, and Steuben Counties shortly before 7:35 p.m.


    A tornado warning was issued for Tioga County, New York, at 6:29 p.m. and expired around 6:50 p.m. The entire Twin Tiers is under a tornado watch.


    The tornado warning for Chemung, Bradford, and Tioga, New York, expired at 5:30 p.m. The entire region remains under a tornado watch.


    The tornado warning in Schuyler County expired at about 5 p.m. A tornado watch remains in effect for the county.


    The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a tornado warning for southeastern Chemung County, northern Bradford County, and southwestern Tioga County NY from 4:46 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.


    A tornado warning for Schuyler County has been issued at 4:08 p.m. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Millport, or near Montour Falls, moving east at 35 mph according to radar-indicated rotation.

    The advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. EST


    UPDATE: Tioga County, Pa tornado warning has expired. A severe thunderstorm warning is still in effect.


    A tornado warning has been issued for areas of Tioga County according to a radar-indicated rotation.

    Around 3:49 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, a Tornado Warning was issued for the southern area of Tioga County, PA, until 4:15 p.m.

    Around 3:58 p.m. a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Morris, moving northeast at 30 mph.


    ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — Multiple tornado warnings have expired but a severe thunderstorm warning remains in place for portions of Steuben and Chemung Counties.

    According to the National Weather Service, around 3:41 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over Painted Post, or over Corning, moving northeast at 35 mph.

    Wind gusts can get up to 60 mph

    The warning is expected to last until 4 p.m. for the areas of Corning, Painted Post, Hornby, South Corning, Gang Mills, Coopers Plains, Tompkins Corners, Gibson, Erwins, and Big Flats.
