Viking star Justin Jefferson featured in new Netflix show "Receiver" which debuted Wednesday

Viking fans are surely already watching Netflix's "Receiver" , the new docuseries which just dropped on the streaming giant. The show features wide receiver Justin Jefferson as one of the stars they follow through the 2023 season.

"I have the alter ego, and when I start putting these chains on, I start putting the teeth in, woo-hoo," Jefferson exclaims on the show's trailer.

The show follows Jefferson and three other receivers both on and off the field, similar to last year's "Quarterback" which included then Viking QB Kirk Cousins.

Other players featured on the show are Raider (and former Packer) Davante Adams, San Francisco tight end George Kittle, his teammate Deebo Samuel, Detroit Lion superstar Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jefferson.

The show will detail Jefferson's most difficult year as a pro, following a serious hamstring injury in a game against St. Brown and the Lions. They'll show his road to recovering and getting back on the field, only to fall short of the playoffs in what he described as a "rollercoaster season".

Just like "Quarterback" showed a different side of Cousins' year in Minnesota in 2022, it also will provide a rare glimpse of Jefferson off the field.

He played just 10 games in '23, but still managed to eclipse 1,000 yards, finishing the year with 68 catches, 1,074 yards, and five touchdowns. He signed a massive, 4-year contract extension worth $140 million this past offseason. Jefferson has been one of the most productive receivers in NFL history since entering the league out of LSU in 2020.

All eight episodes of the show are available to stream as of Wednesday. The show's executive producer is former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.
