    • Injury to Tyler Higbee: Higbee’s injury came in the wild-card round and was devastating. He will likely miss multiple games to start the season. With a serious injury, there are questions if he will ever return to his previous form especially considering his his age.
    • Lack of Established Depth: The Rams lack a proven receiving threat or a reliable blocking tight end beyond Higbee. Davis Allen showed his bonafide as a pass catcher in limited reps last season but struggled as a blocker.
    • Newcomer Uncertainty: The Rams added Colby Parkinson , who is a proven blocker, but has never flashed as a receiver in his four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks
    • Scheme Fit: The Rams’ offensive scheme has never heavily utilized tight ends in the passing game.
