The City of Rochester invites everyone to the annual Lilac Family Fun Festival this Saturday, July 13, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Spaulding High School and the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, July 14, ensuring the festivities continue, come rain or shine.

This family-centered event promises an array of attractions, including free carnival rides for children, engaging family activities, and a diverse selection of food trucks and local vendors. Highlights of the festival include live performances from local talents such as North River Music and Studio 109, ensuring continuous entertainment for all ages.

The event will feature Sages Entertainment, which will captivate attendees with a magic show from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm, followed by balloon twisting activities until 7:30 pm. As the evening progresses, festival-goers can enjoy the musical stylings of Whiskey Bent & the Hell Hounds from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

The grand finale of the festival will be a spectacular fireworks display at 9:00 pm, celebrated as the best fireworks show in New Hampshire. To facilitate the fireworks show, Chestnut Hill Road will be temporarily closed from 8:45 pm to 9:45 pm. Attendees are advised to consider parking options in downtown Rochester and may utilize shuttle services available for the event.

The Lilac Family Fun Festival is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a day filled with fun, music, and celebration. Remember, only service pets are allowed, and visitors are asked not to bring any outside fireworks or sparklers.
