JACKSON, N.C. (WNCN) — A mother and her baby are reported missing in Northampton County. Police tell CBS 17 there have been no confirmed sightings of the two in weeks.

Jackson Police Chief Brenda Burnette said Shabrina McGee and her three-year-old son were reported missing on June 29. The Jackson Police Department said McGee’s mother hadn’t seen her in two months.

Burnette says there was a confirmed sighting of McGee in the Seaboard area on June 27. Another person reported seeing her in Emporia, Virginia, a few days after that day.

Police are following leads in North Carolina and Virginia.

McGee does not have a vehicle so police say her mode of transportation is unknown.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Chief Burnette at (252)554-9779, dispatch at (250)574-1041, or 911.
