A man suspected of killing three women with a crossbow in Hertfordshire, northwest of London, has been found by police. The suspect, 26-year-old Kyle Clifford , was located in the Enfield area of north London on Wednesday, according to a statement from Hertfordshire police. Clifford was found with injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. No shots were fired by the police during his apprehension.

The victims of the attack, which took place on Tuesday evening, were identified as Carol Hunt , 61, Hannah Hunt , 28, and Louise Hunt , 25. They were the wife and daughters of John Hunt , a horse racing commentator for the BBC, Hertfordshire police said.

The incident has sparked discussions about the regulation of crossbows in the U.K. Currently, there is no registration system or licensing requirement for crossbow ownership in the country, though it is illegal for anyone under 18 to possess one. The Home Office had launched a review earlier this year to consider implementing a licensing system and tighter restrictions on buying and selling crossbows, similar to regulations for firearms. The review was completed in April, but action was apparently stalled by the recent elections.
