An astonished daughter has taken to the internet to share her mom's incredibly simple trick for getting rid of those pesky sticky labels from new purchases.

"I have a life hack that's going to blow your mind, well, it blew my mind. My mom taught me this a couple of days ago."

In the video, Lexie takes a strip of tape and presses half of it onto the troublesome tag. She gives it a good rub to ensure it sticks properly before swiftly "waxing" the label off.

To the amazement of viewers, she peels away the label in one clean move without leaving any residue.

Since being uploaded on December 18, her video has racked up over 5 million views, with the comments section brimming with thankful users proclaiming the tip a game-changer.

"You've probably saved billions in lost time," one person remarked. Another shared their relief: "The amount of hours that I've sat going to war with these."
