If the only thing standing between you and a newly painted set of bathroom or kitchen cabinets is concerns over how you'll deal with keeping the paint from getting on spots where you don't want it, have we got the hack for you.

Check out the video of how one man solved the pesky problem of overspray inside of his cabinets and doors using a simple piece of cardboard.

Seriously, this is one of those fixes that make us feel stupid for not having thought of it ourselves!

We used a paint sprayer and @BeyondPaint in Pewter to give our bathroom cabinets a refresh. Used a box to keep the overspray out of the drawers #paint #painting #homeowner #tricks #tips #diy

It's hard to tell whether @tdi1973 is a pro, or if he just plays one on TikTok, because this drawer hack is pretty amazing. Just take a look at how he put this simple plan into action, cutting a hole in the cardboard box that was big enough for him to put the drawer into it, but not so big that the drawer front slipped through the hole.

Then he was able to use the sprayer for an even and quick application of paint, giving his drawers a professional looking touch.

We're not the only ones who think this idea was groundbreaking, either. The post was full of people complimenting the OP, and more than a handful of them also asked if they could borrow the setup for their own projects.

This is 100 percent easier than taping off the drawers or filling them with newspaper and creating a seal that will prevent any overspray from getting inside of them. And we're all about these time saving hacks that shave even just a little bit of time off of those big projects that require a lot of time and energy.

If you also love a good time saving hack you'll want to see how one woman made painting her kitchen cabinets so simple that just about anyone can do it.

Woman Says Cabinet Prep Is Unnecessary When Painting

If you're feeling like a rebel and you want to cut a few steps out during your cabinet painting process, you can throw caution to the wind like this woman did. She says that after painting her fair share of cabinets over the years, she decided to forgo all of the excessive prepping and focus just on the steps that she deemed necessities.

After she was done, she said she got the exact same results as she had in the past, only it took her less than half the time to get them!

When we're finally ready to pull the trigger on painting our cabinets and drawers, you better believe we'll be using this bright idea from the OP. Now we just have to bookmark this page so we don't forget about it when the time comes!
