    Burke County’s Operation ‘Firecracker’ arrests 9 people

    BURKE COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Nine people have been arrested for various charges at the conclusion of Operation Firecracker, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

    On July 2, outstanding warrants were served including three felonies, five misdemeanors, three child support, two criminal summons and three failure to appear.

    The suspects ranged in age from 32-51 and were given bonds ranging from $880-$15,500. One suspect was not given a bond.

    Some of the charges include:

    • Resisting a public officer
    • Reckless driving to endanger
    • Domestic violence protective order violation
    • Larceny (failure to appear)
    • Possession of stolen goods
    • 2nd-degree trespassing
    • Various drug charges
    • Littering

    They included someone who littered in this operation. 😆 Littering is bad but damn don't kick someone's door in over it lol

    I have to admit. When I originally read the headline I thought that they had arrested the people that caught the mountain on fire on the 4th lol. Hence the firecracker operation name lol
