A Golden Retriever decided to change his favorite spot on the couch after his newborn human sibling arrived, and it got everyone in tears.
On July 1, 2024, TikTok user Beau Nose Bones (@beaunoesbones) shared a video of Beau, a beautiful Golden Retriever who really loves his human sibling. Take a look!
In a 24-second TikTok video, we meet Beau, a sweet and cute dog who loves his little brother.

"This was my dog's favorite spot on the couch before my son was born..." the text on the screen reads. In the video, Beau has one spot where he's always hanging on the couch.
Similar to how we as people have our preferred couch cushion, Beau would lounge right in the center of the gray couch. Sometimes he would sleep on his back, other times he would be lying down like a typical dog was. But he always sat right there.
But that changed when he became a big brother. Beau found out in July last year that his parents were expecting a little baby, and he's always been excited for his new role.
But this clip, which shows where Beau prefers to sit on his couch now that he's got a baby brother in the home, is a real tear-jerker.
"This is his favorite spot now..." the text on the screen changes. Now, we see that Beau's new favorite spot is on a different couch. Why the change? Well, now he can always be near his little brother, watching over him and never letting him out of his sight.
"Beau's favorite spot is wherever Frankie is," the video's caption reads. In the comments, people were touched by the connection between Beau and Frankie.
"He thinks you got him his own pet," one person joked.
Someone else wrote, "I can't with dogs and babies," adding heart and crying emojis.
The official account for Sour Patch Kids commented: "This made me turn sweet for 30 seconds."
"A big brother, babysitter, and best friend all in one," shared someone else.

Golden Retrievers Are Great Dogs for Families
According to the American Kennel Club , Goldens are perfect family dogs.
"Goldens are outgoing, trustworthy, and eager-to-please family dogs, and relatively easy to train. They take a joyous and playful approach to life and maintain this puppyish behavior into adulthood," the club writes. "These energetic, powerful gundogs enjoy outdoor play."
These dogs receive the highest score for "affectionate with family," noting that they are "lovey-dovey." They're also considered to be great with other dogs, and Golden Retrievers have the highest score for being good with children.
