Meagan Good Says Friends Advised Her Not To Date Jonathan Majors Until She Knew The Results Of His Trial

A ctress Meagan Good recently opened up about her relationship with embattled actor Jonathan Majors , and she has revealed that even her friends were advising her against dating the Lovecraft Country star at least until after she found out what the result of his domestic violence trial would be.

During an appearance on the ‘Today’ show, Good told hosts Hoda and Jenna that her friends advised her to “wait to see how everything kinda shakes out” with Majors’ trial, which ultimately resulted in him being convicted of one count of reckless assault in the third degree and a charge of harassment against his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari just months after he and Good began their relationship.

“Yeah every friend advised me, but at the end of the day, one thing I know is I can always look at myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum,” Good said .

Good and Majors started dating not long after the news of Jabbari’s allegations against Majors broke and instantly derailed his career, which looked pretty damn promising right up until that point. Good says she takes pride in standing by him even after his conviction.

“I can always look and say, ‘OK, I’m proud of that.’ No matter whatever happens, I have peace in my heart, and I have harmony in my heart,” she said. “The support that we’ve been able to give each other, the pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care and the thoughtfulness … it’s just been really wonderful”.

Folks on social media have largely responded to Good and Majors’ relationship by speculating that it’s a PR move for Majors since he was in trouble for allegedly choking his white ex-girlfriend, and essentially telling Good to blink twice if she’s being held against her will. (Majors repeatedly referring to Meagan as his “ Correta ” certainly didn’t help.) People love sharing around photos of the celebrity couple looking awkward and unnatural together, but there are also videos and photos that capture them appearing to have a good time together, such as the footage of them attending the premiere of Good’s new field Divorce in the Black .

Anyway, hopefully, Jonathan and Meagan really are happy together and are not letting all of the outside noise cloud their love and respect for each other. Good luck to them both.
