“I am deeply concerned about Joe Biden winning this November, because it is a threat if Donald Trump wins,” Blumenthal said. “So, we have to reach a conclusion as soon as possible.”

Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam said he was on a call with Biden on Wednesday.

“A lot of it was positive things he’s done for cities, his plans for years ahead,” Arulampalam said. “He talk about the [debate] performance, saying, ‘It’s a bad night,’ that he wasn’t feeling great.”

The mayor said the call lasted 45 minutes and that Biden took questions. Arulampalam said he’ll support the Democratic nominee.
