Trio Of Deer Jump Off Dock Bridge & Somersault Down Into Water Below

Oh yeah? If all the other deer were jumping off a bridge, would you do it too? Finally, a video that showcases the comeback that all of our parents had when we said that "everyone else" was doing something. This right here is why you shouldn't always do something just because everyone else - or every other deer - is doing it. It's not uncommon for deer to travel together in groups. They're generally considered social animals, but no one ever said anything about them being "intelligent" animals. If you've ever hit a deer with your car, you know exactly what I'm saying right there. They tend to freeze up when they're staring down headlights. The deer in this footage walked themselves out onto a raised dock above some beautiful, scenic marshland in South Carolina. They could have kept using the bridge, which was probably sitting a good 10 feet above the swampy water, but the deer decided to... well, suddenly stop utilizing the safe, sturdy platform. Seemingly out of nowhere, one of the deer runs and jumps over the railing of the dock and plummets down into the marsh. It obviously wasn't done on purpose, but it's one of the biggest deer cannonballs you'll ever see. I'd give the jump and splash a 10 out of 10 if I was a judge. The other two deer should have heard the massive kerplunk in the water and thought, "Oh no, I'm not doing that." But guess what? They played follow the leader, and not even five seconds after the first deer went overboard, the other two jumped off and also somersaulted down into the water. It's hilarious to watch, and it was all caught on camera by Debbie Kurkul (shoutout to her daughter who got the footage). She shared this caption along with the video, which also revealed that all of the deer were miraculously okay following their scary, impromptu marsh diving contest: "We had some visitors today on our dock. I was on my second story deck and I heard a loud noise coming from our dock. When I looked over there were 3 deer running down our dock. There was nowhere for them to go and I thought they would turn around but they surprised me by jumping over. I was shaking and so scared that they got hurt but they didn’t. They started running through the marsh with no sign of any injuries. I posted the first video from my second story deck and the deer could not see me. I was so concerned after they jumped that I was in shock. There are no gators in the marsh.
