SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be visiting Woodbury County in person Thursday.

Disaster Survivor Assistance teams will visit the Riverside neighborhood on July 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Team members will go door-to-door to help residents apply for assistance and address “immediate and emerging needs,” according to a release.

FEMA team members can be identified by a federal photo ID and a blue FEMA vest. Residents should ask members for their credentials before giving out any personal information.

Riverside residents who are not home when FEMA comes to their door will be left a flyer and can schedule an appointment for a later time.
