    SpaceX targeting Thursday evening launch in Southern California

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Did you see SpaceX’s last rocket launch from Southern California? The conditions were so clear it was visible across the entire region and even across the border in Mexico . And the astronautics company is gearing up to launch another rocket this week.

    SpaceX is targeting the evening of Thursday, July 11 for a Falcon 9 launch of Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Station in Southern California.

    The Starlink Mission will send 20 Starlink satellites, including 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities, into low-Earth orbit, according to SpaceX.

    Liftoff is scheduled to take place at 7:39 p.m. PT from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E). A livestream of the Starlink Mission will begin about five minutes before liftoff on X @SpaceX and spacex.com .

    In the event the launch needs to be scrubbed, SpaceX says backup opportunities will be available until 11:37 p.m. PT. Thursday or Friday, July 12, starting at 6:13 p.m. ET.

    NASA streams first-ever high-definition video from deep space

    SpaceX says this is the 19th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, Transporter-7, Iridium OneWeb, SDA-0B, and 13 Starlink missions.

    Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship in the Pacific Ocean.
