BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — On Wednesday, Jenkins Subaru presented a check for $72,782 to the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge County as a part of the company’s “Share the Love” event.

The donation helped the United Way reach its fundraising goal of $780,000. As part of the “Share the Love” event, a portion of the money from every car Jenkins Subaru sold in December goes to the cause of the dealership’s choice. Jenkins Subaru has chosen United Way for the past 10 years.

“We’re really really happy to do it again. I chose United Way for various reasons, but really it’s just one of the great places that we can give money in our community that gives the money exactly where it needs to go,” Jenkins Subaru Hyundai General Manager Matt Jenkins said.

The United Way of Harrison and Doddridge County helps fund 22 partner organizations whose causes range from helping foster care children to providing seniors with hot meals.
