LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A family is seeking answers weeks after a deadly crash on I-385 in Laurens County.

56-year-old Steven Campbell was killed in a crash on I-385 southbound at mile marker 13. Family members said they have received few details about what may have led to the crash.

“My father tragically burnt in a fire,” Lasha Mangle said. “We seem to know nothing of what happened or took place as of that day.”

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said on June 29, Campbell and a Chrysler were both traveling south on I-385 when the Chrysler crashed into Campbell. The crash caused Campbell’s vehicle to travel off the roadway and hit a guardrail.

    He died at the scene.

Campbell’s family members are now asking for the public’s help to discover what happened.

“We are still waiting for answers yet we are seeking justice as well,” Mangle said. “So I asked that the public, anyone who has any videos or anything to reach out to us.”

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
