Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven returns! How to cash in

It’s July 11 once again, meaning those near a 7-Eleven gas station can rejoice and be treated with a free sweet treat to beat the heat today only.

Fans of the fruity slushy drinks will be able to stop by any participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, or Stripes today and receive a free small Slurpee drink in either Cherry, Coca-Cola, or one of the limited-time flavors.

“Slurpee Day is our annual celebration of 7-Eleven’s birthday and our iconic frozen drink; it’s a day of joy, community, and good old-fashioned summer fun,” Marissa Jarratt, executive vice president and chief marketing and sustainability officer at 7-Eleven, Inc., said in a statement .

This year will be a little different, however, as the retailer is also celebrating its 97th birthday and offering a special edition cup in partnership with the charity Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

In collaboration with the charity, 7-Eleven fans can enjoy their favorite Slurpee out of a cup designed by Nolan, a 7-year-old artist, and CMN Hospitals National Champion Nolan.

The special cup is meant to “bring hope to other pediatric cancer patients and inspire everyone” on the Slurpee holiday, the retailer shared in a statement .

Jarratt also shared that they “are thrilled to share the nostalgia and create new memories with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and our customers who cherish this tradition so dearly.”

In celebration of 7-Eleven’s birthday, the chain will also offer a limited-time Birthday Capsule collection on their merchandise shop .

Members of 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards will also be eligible to enter and win free snacks and drinks for an entire year by buying participating products through Aug. 27.

Those who scan their rewards on Slurpee Day will also get a coupon for another free small Slurpee to use on a future purchase before July 31.
