More than 700 without power in Cuyahoga County

(WJW) – Many FirstEnergy customers in Cuyahoga County woke up without power on Thursday.

According to the electric company’s website, more than 800 customers were without power as of 5:45 p.m. According to the FirstEnergy website, additional crews were being dispatched for repairs.

According to the website, more than 700 customers are still without power in Cuyahoga County.

“Due to the complexity of the repairs, additional resources are required to safely restore power to your area. They will be dispatched as quickly as possible,” read the website at noon.

It wasn’t yet clear what caused the outages.

Earlier in the morning, additional outages were reported in Shaker Heights. Most of those outages have since been restored.

Other communities that reported outages include Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland with scattered outages elsewhere.
