Deadpool Had Kevin Feige Explaining Sex Acts to Coworkers

Anyone who’s watched a Ryan Reynolds Deadpool film knows that it can be a little bit… racy, to say the least. The films don’t shy away from gratuitous violence, sex, and harsh language, and that’s part of why people love it so much. In a world of sanitized, safe-playing superhero films, Deadpool was happy to break rules and be a bit crass. Unfortunately, that seems to have created some very funny problems for Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

In an interview with Variety for the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, Feige spoke a little bit on incorporating the merc with a (foul) mouth into the MCU, and the struggles that came with doing so. In the interview, Feige says that he is “slightly prudish” about drug use, which he finds “not that funny,” but did not, like Deadpool suggested in a trailer, prevent the film’s marketing from featuring it.

The funniest part, though, is that Feige apparently had to explain ‘pegging’ to his coworkers, but thankfully, it sounds like he’s well-versed in the topic.

“I know what pegging is,” Feige says in the interview. “It’s in the first Deadpool movie. But there were people I work with who didn’t know what it was. I had to explain it to them.”

Now, there are a couple of possibilities here, and we’re not sure which is funnier. The first is that Feige works with people who genuinely don’t know what pegging is, which is a fascinating idea. The second is that the people Feige works with absolutely know what pegging is, and just wanted to see their boss squirm trying to explain it. Either way, we know with absolute certainty that at some point in the past few years, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained pegging to a coworker, and just having that knowledge is great.

If you’re reading along here and have no idea what we’re talking about, you have a couple of options. You could watch Deadpool, of course, which will definitely get you there, or you could just ask Kevin Feige, who we’re sure would be perfectly happy to explain.

Deadpool & Wolverine is highly anticipated by fans, and the actors behind the film seem pretty jazzed with it too. Hugh Jackman said recently that Deadpool & Wolverine shows a different side of Wolverine , saying that the film “exceeded anything [he’s] done before as this character.”

Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024 in the US.
