HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — As the Houston area is in recovery mode after Hurricane Beryl left the area damaged, several mobile companies are coming into to help those with their mobile phone issues.

T-Mobile has opened four locations in the area to allow people to charge their phones, offering free Wi-Fi and helping with connectivity issues.

    The four locations are:

    • T-Mobile Store: 10314 US 59 Hwy Ste D, Wharton
    • T-Mobile Store: The Commons at Deerbrook, 9550 FM1960 Bypass Rd W, Humble (NOTE: Teams will be onsite beginning at 11 a.m.)
    • Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA (cooling center):  808 Pease Street, Houston
    • Weekley Family YMCA (cooling center): 7101 Stella Link Boulevard, Houston

Also, T-Mobile is offering its customers in southeast Texas with unlimited talk, text and data until July 14, even for those customers who do not have the unlimited plan. That also includes Metro by T-Mobile customers.

Some T-Mobile stores have reopened as power is being restored in the Houston area. The company asks that you check their store locations website to see what stores are opened and their operating hours.

Meanwhile, AT&T said they continue to work to restore service to all of their customers after Beryl left thousands without a phone signal or Wi-Fi.

While more than a million Houstonians continue to struggle with power outages, AT&T is deploying more than 200 generators, with additional units on the way.

Also, AT&T has also deployed charging stations across the Houston community to support those who have been displaced or remain without power.

The 10 charging stations are at:

    • Leonel Castillo Community Center: 2101 South Street
    • West Gray Multi Service Center: 1475 W Gray Street
    • Fonde Community Center: 110 Sabine Street
    • MCC – North Harris County Community Center: 10918 Bentley Street
    • Weekley Community Center: 8440 Greenhouse Road
    • Bayland Community Center: 6400 Bissonnet Street
    • Radack Community Center: 18650 Clay Road
    • Moody Community Center: 3725 Fulton Street
    • Lincoln Community Center: 979 Grenshaw Street
    • Hester House: 2020 Solo Street

And AT&T’s connectivity center is equipped with a/c, computers and charging stations. It is up and running at the Deputy Almendarez Center, located at 10918 Bentley Street from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
