Man hospitalized following shooting in Manatee County bar parking lot: deputies

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was hospitalized following an altercation in a parking lot outside of a Manatee County bar, according to the sheriff’s office.

The shooting occurred after an argument broke out between two men around 11:35 p.m. Wednesday after they got into a car accident in the Oneco Rose Bar parking lot, located in the 100 block of Cortez Road West.

During the argument, Jordan Glanz, 27, shot Deondrick Anderson, 49, in the torso, deputies said. Glanz then fled the scene.

Anderson was taken to a nearby hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

Officials said Glanz later contacted authorities, claiming he shot Anderson in self-defense.

Glanz was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The incident remains under investigation.
