The Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Program Board (LCUWP) is sponsoring a Wastewater Program Orientation on July 20 at 10 a.m. at the Fort Deposit City Hall, 260 Old Ft. Road in Fort Deposit. The orientation is open to the public; however, the residents of Fort Deposit and Calhoun are highly encouraged to participate in this session.

This is the first of many sessions to be held in 2024 in the various communities within Lowndes County. The LCUWP Board members will be presenting on matters relevant to wastewater.

Some topics for discussion are LCUWP board responsibilities; acquisition, installation and maintenance systems; warning signs and the cost of system failures; system Do’s & Don’ts; applying for services and more.

We cordially invite the residents of Lowndes to come learn about and discuss the Lowndes County Wastewater Program. Our office is located at 507 East Tuskeena Street in Hayneville. Call (334) 548-2006 or stop by Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to pick up a program application.
