Wimberley Backs Parish in District 9 School Board Race

Veteran school board member praises Parish's commitment to solutions

One candidate for Williamson County School Board has the backing of the board member she is seeking to replace.

According to a media release from Shandus Parish's campaign, outgoing District 9 School Board member Rick Wimberley is supporting Parish in the upcoming August election.

"Shandus has a good grasp of the challenges of school board work and an understanding of what the real role is and what it’s not," Wimberly said. "She’s prepared. She’ll be open to input from the public, her colleagues, and WCS staff, and will put aside politics and partisanship when making tough decisions. I think Shandus will make an excellent Williamson County School Board member."

Parish expressed gratitude for the endorsement.

"I am deeply honored to receive Rick Wimberly's endorsement," said Parish. "His support is a testament to the shared vision we have for the future of our schools. If we elect a board who is willing to work together despite party affiliation, we can create a safe, inclusive, and thriving educational environment for all students in Williamson County."
