Deputies say they arrested a West Virginia man after they pulled into a parking lot and found Hard Iced Teas scattered around.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio said they were patrolling near State Route 821 when they observed multiple cars in the parking lot of the Devola Multi Use Trail, Muskingum Township.

Deputies say they pulled into the parking lot and observed three vehicles and multiple young individuals, as well as several empty Hard Iced Tea cans strewn throughout the parking lot.

Twelve individuals were identified, including Tyler Wayne Bartimus, 38 Mound Manor, St. Mary’s, WV.

Deputies say Bartimus was the only individual above the age of eighteen.

Bartimus had glassy, and bloodshot eyes, and his speech was slurred, according to deputies.

Deputies say an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on/or about his person.

Bartimus allegedly admitted to drinking multiple alcoholic beverages while at this location and was placed under arrest and charged with underage consumption of alcohol.

Deputies say Bartimus submitted to a PBT with the result being .114 at 0555.
