SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield DPW announced that trash, recycling, and yard waste collection may be delayed on Thursday and Friday.

Fire on Dorchester St. in Springfield forces out two residents

According to a news release from Mayor Sarno’s office, the delay was due to a series of issues. They ask that Springfield residents leave trash barrels out until they are collected and if necessary they will continue to collect on Saturday, mostly likely for yard waste.

If your trash has not bee picked up by noon of the day after your usual collection date, contact 311.
