A new study has revealed that the state most interested in plastic surgery is not California with its star-studded Hollywood , nor is it Florida and its sunny beaches, but rather Delaware.

Knewz.com has learned that research based on Google’s search volume indicated that the United States ’ second smallest state showed the largest interest in liposuction, Brazilian butt lifts (BBLs), and tummy tucks per capita.

To arrive at this conclusion, searches for keywords related to cosmetic surgery and respective professionals were factored in but non-surgical procedures like lip filling were excluded.

Employing this method, the study found that for every 100,000 Delawareans, 159 plastic surgery-related queries were keyed in monthly, making the state’s interest 19% higher than the national average of 132.8.

Despite the state being home to America’s smallest population (1,044,321), it is reported to have 33 cosmetic surgeons.

Counterintuitively, a report by Harvard Business indicated that rather than fashion and beauty-related industries, Delaware is a breeding ground for corporate entities—in fact so much so, that there are more corporations founded in the state than residents.

Rhode Island took the number two spot with interest in cosmetic procedures just over 2% lower than that of Delaware (157.8 per 100,000).

Notably, a keen interest was shown in liposuction, followed by BBL and then nose jobs. The state currently has 47 cosmetic surgeons – which considering the population of the so-called Ocean State (1,098,082), is admittedly more per capita than Delaware.

Rhode Island, as suggested by its moniker, has a greater focus on the outdoors, particularly beach and water-related activities creating a context for the state's relatively high level of interest in physical appearances, and by extension, cosmetic surgery.

Next on the list is Colorado . Google recorded that for every 100,000 people, 153.8 searches for cosmetic-related surgeries were keyed in.

California with the incumbent star-studded Hollywood takes fourth place. By: MEGA

Cumulatively, the state's population of 5,877,610 generated 9,000 searches monthly with 258 plastic surgeons feeding the state’s quest for eternal beauty.

Of the stated figure, 2,000 searches were for liposuction.

California makes its entry onto the list in fourth place. Google’s data cites that for every 100,000 people 150.4 searched for plastic surgery procedures.

Translated into total searches, the data shows 58,500 monthly queries. But when viewed against the state's burgeoning population (39,128,162), the figure suggests that Golden State's interest in cosmetic procedures is relatively insignificant.

Searches by Californians are divided into three roughly equal categories; more than 12,100 searches are related to liposuction, 12,000 pursue BBL, and 11,300  query nose jobs.

The state has 1,000 listed cosmetic surgeons supplying the demand.

    Florida ranked tenth. By: MEGA

Notably, Florida ranks tenth on the list with 145.2 online keyword queries for every 100,000 people and a total of 32,800 searches monthly—proportionate to its population of 22,9 million.

According to the study published by TruMe Labs , the least interested of America's 50 states is Iowa , with its average of 104.9 searches per 100,000 people, making it 21% below the national average.
