On the question of whether the Triple H and Nick Khan era of WWE can surpass Vince McMahon’s reign, former women’s champion Ronda Rousey offered a hilarious response.

Ronda Rousey has a very interesting legacy in WWE. While she had limited training before joining the company in 2018, her elite-level athleticism and unique charisma allowed her to be a star instantly. During her first run with the company, she was a part of the first-ever all-female Wrestlemania main event and achieved several other impressive milestones.

However, after taking a break from the company to have her first child, Rousey delivered mixed results in her second stint in the legendary promotion. And how she was used during those years was at the heart of recent criticism she heaped on WWE in her memoir.

Her issues were not just about how she was booked, but how WWE founder and long-time head of creative Vince McMahon used the entire women’s division. But things have changed immensely for the women’s side of the roster since McMahon’s son-in-law Paul “ Triple H ” Levesque and CEO Nick took control of WWE.

In a recent interview with CBS Sports MMA and Pro Wrestling interviewer Shakiel Mahjouri , Rousey was asked if she has confidence in the new regime leading WWE, and she had an interesting response.

“I think anyone’s better than Vince McMahon,” she began by saying. “The only place you can go is up. I really enjoy Triple H and working with him, and honestly, I haven’t been watching, but I saw something from Natty [Neidhart] saying that they had a card recently that had just as many women on it as the men.

“That’s what I would really like to see, the women equally represented with not just matches on the card, but time on the show. I feel there’s no place they could go but up and I’m really, really happy for all the women still there and thriving under the new regime.” I think there’s, yeah.”

Levesque and Khan received full autonomy over WWE in 2023 after another scandal and lawsuit involving McMahon forced parent company TKO Group Holdings to out the wrestling legend.
