The blaze started about 1.45pm on Saturday while an investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.The fire was moving southeast toward Pyramid Lake and crews were constructing perimeter fire lines while aircraft worked against limited visibility to stop the fire's progress, the fire department said.The South Coast Air Quality Management District posted an alert on X as it warned residents of Castaic and Santa Clarita to stay indoors and use an air conditioner or purifier such was the density of the smoke.
