    Washington State Residents Near Canadian Border Feel 6.4 Earthquake

    Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, was rebel-rousted this morning at approximately 6:08 am when a magnitude 6.4 earthquake rattled residents awake. Vancouver, BC, Canada, is approximately 32 miles northwest of the Peace Arch Border crossing in Blaine, Washington.

    Many residents near the Peace Arch Border crossing in Blaine, Washington, reported feeling some shaking. Residents as far south as Seattle, Washington, felt some shaking. No serious damages have been reported.

    The epicenter was located approximately 10 km deep and felt by as many as 12,400 people. Over 50 reports were received regarding the earthquake. As many as 3 aftershocks have been reported. According to the US Tsunami Warning System, no tsunamis are anticipated with this quake.
