The Bold and the Beautiful fans slam "family cringe" scenes between Poppy , Luna, and Bill as they call for the return of "the Bill we love to hate."

On Thursday afternoon, viewers were left physically cringing as Poppy, Luna, and Bill all gathered together for a wholesome family lunch at an Italian restaurant. During the outing, Bill and Luna share some painfully cheesy dialogue as they indulged in their love for "the finer things in life" as Luna's mother Poppy is seen trying caviar for the first time.

During their meal, Poppy is seen smiling and biting into caviar as she says: "Well, this is definitely a first for me." To which Luna joked: "Oh come on, mom, we used to have caviar every single day when I was growing up." To which Bill chimed in: "Doesn't everyone?"

Poppy giggled mid-bite and replied: "Okay, you two are making fun of me." To which Bill replied: "No we're not making fun of you. We're enjoying watching you experience something new." And Luna added: "And did you know that Italian caviar is considered one of best if not the best in the world?" To which Poppy replied: "Oh is that so? And who told you that?"

And Luna said: "Dad of course. He's been giving me a crash course on the finer things in life." To which Bill added: "What can I say? I want to expose both of you to everything the world has to offer."

Bold and Beautiful fans recoiled after the "cringe" family moment as they took to X, formerly Twitter, calling for Bill to return to his normal villous self that regularly cheated and deceived others. One viewer wrote: "More Poppy family cringe. Words cannot express how much I hate these scenes. Look at what they've done to the once great Dollar Bill Spencer. Bring back the Bill we love to hate!"

And another agreed: "Not overly fond of ANY of these characters...including Bill the way he's being written these days." While a third echoed: "They need to free Bill from this BS." While someone else joked: "So sad to watch it’s embarrassing where is dollar bill. does he ever go to his office why isn’t he jetting off somewhere with 3 women in a midlife crisis only to come back to Katie."
