Kittens grow so fast, it's almost hard to remember how small they once were. It's a great idea to capture them at different stages to compare. One Ragdoll cat's mom got his changes on camera so his "evolution" is clear and it's unbelievable!

On July 10, 2024, @itsmaximusthecat shared the cute video on TikTok showing the feline's growth progression over the course of three months and it's incredible to witness. Take a look!

In the 10-second montage captioned, "The evolution of Maximus," the adorable Ragdoll's transformation begins at 4 months, where he's still kitten-sized. At four-and-a-half months, he's already gained a noticeable amount of size. By five months on, he's growing into his adult face and body with an obvious level of fluff—something Ragdolls are known for.

In the final shot at 7 months old, Maximus has reached icon status, looking like the king of the house and many viewers are here for it!

"The tail progressively getting fluffier," one person noted. "Oh my goodness!!! Total cuteness," another shared. "They grow up so quick," another added.

Maximus is already a big, fluffy boy and will surely get even more adorable in the next few months as he transitions into full cat status!

Are Ragdoll Cats Easy To Care For?

According to PetMD , Ragdoll cats , who get their name for their floppiness when petted, are an amazing, laid-back breed who can grow to be 9-11 inches up to 20 pounds.

Like Maximus, their long fur means a lot of grooming but this is an adaptable breed that responds well to almost any type of home. With a lifespan of about 17 years, there's plenty of time for kisses and cuddles, though be on the lookout for health issues like heart disease, bladder stones, weight and joint issues, and seasonal allergies. They're also "hearty eaters" and are prone to weight gain, so it's important to keep track of how much you're feeding them.

This friendly, calm breed makes a great addition to any household due to their sweet demeanor and sociability. The caveat to this is, due to their friendliness, they're "not street smart enough to be wary of potential danger," which means they're an indoor-only cat.

Maximus is a sweet Ragdoll kitten no more! He's a beautiful boy who's well on his way to becoming the greatest cat whoever lived! Hopefully, Mom will continue capturing his growth so the world can cheer him on as he grows.
