DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two people are facing drug charges after Darlington County authorities searched a home and seized marijuana, “magic mushrooms” and a firearm.

Deputies arrested Kahlin Swinton and August King on Wednesday after executing a search warrant at their home off Hill Creek Road. They are charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms, commonly referred to as “magic mushrooms.”

Swinton remained in the W. Glenn Campell Detention Center on a $5,000 bond on Thursday, according to online jail records. King posted a $5,000 bond and was released.

According to a news release, deputies recovered 4.6 pounds of marijuana and about 4 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, along with the firearm.
