Woman's Textured Wall Tiles Are a Must for Creating a Renter-Friendly Accent Wall

Calling all renters! We have just stumbled upon the cutest (and most renter-friendly) way to create a DIY accent wall. Think of this design as more of a new take on the very popular slat wall trend, except it's easier to do on a small scale, with little to no installation, and with hardly any tools.
We're thinking this is about to be the next big home trend, especially for those who want to personalize their space without making any permanent changes to it.
If you ever only do 1 home diy, let it be this one! 😆 These tiles come in several colors, VERY EASY to install (I used a peel and stick tape) and so affordable 🙌🏼 Find these linked in my bi o ❤️ #home #diyhome #easyhomediy #homediy #renterfriendly
Okay, maybe it's the music, but these wall tiles are for sure giving us mid-century modern vibes and we're not quite sure what to do with this feeling. It has to be the fact that @glamorouslyliving picked a set of tiles that are made to look like natural wood — the super cool thing about the particular ones she used is that they come in a variety of colors — or maybe it's just that we're so used to seeing wood accent walls in MCM homes. Either way, we are here for this and really dig the whole vibe that she created with this unusual accent wall.
Okay, you know we're definitely eyeing up our home right now to see which of our walls we can do this to!
Yes, we did call the OP's design a good way to get the slat wall look even if you're renting, but that's hardly the only way. Take a peek at what this woman did to create the same look in her rental.
Woman DIY's Renter Friendly Slat Wall
When there's a will, there's a way, and that's never been more obvious than with this woman's project . She managed to work her way around several common renting problems, including a total lack of power tools.
What she did was took her measurements to Home Depot and asked them to cut the wood for her before she left. Then, she grabbed a few command hooks and took the panels home, velcroing them to the underside of her kitchen island without having to use any screws or super strong adhesive.
The end result speaks for itself and really makes us consider what it would look like if we did something like this in our home!
Faux Wood Panels Create a Chic Look
Sure, we know we fell in love with the OP's design, but there is more than enough room around here to try both looks, which is exactly what we plan to do. All we have to do is add these DIY projects into our already jam packed schedules, because once we get started, it doesn't look like it will take too long before we are done!
