Jelly Roll stunned fans with a special surprise that he brought out onstage during a recent concert in Toronto, Canada.

The country music star was at Toronto’s History venue for his very first solo international show on Wednesday, July 10, when he alerted fans that there was an unexpected guest in attendance.

“This is probably the coolest thing we’ve had happen in a while,” the “Wild Ones” singer said, according to fan videos later shared on social media.

“I am not embarrassed to admit that, growing up, like everybody else, I was a huge boy band fan,” he continued before announcing that AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys was at his show. “If you don’t mind, I want to bring him out,” Jelly Roll, 39, said as the audience began cheering. He gestured to the side of the stage, waving to McLean as the singer bounded out to join him.

The two musicians went on to thrill concertgoers by performing the Backstreet Boys’ hit song “I Want It That Way.” Jelly Roll and McLean traded lyrics as they grooved onstage, occasionally pointing their microphones at the crowd for assistance from audience members who clearly had the lyrics memorized just as they did.

Once the song was over, the “Son of a Sinner” singer and McLean gave each other slight bows before ending their time together onstage with a big hug.

It was the “collaboration we didn’t know we needed,” according to Sarah May on TikTok , who shared a clip from the performance on the social media platform.

“I’m manifesting a song with these two!!🔥🔥👏👏🥰,” another fan agreed.

“This was a phenomenal surprise! I don’t fangirl… I did then lol,” one TikToker commented.

While one fan said they “would CRY” if they had seen the performance in person, another admitted they already had, writing, “I cried lmao.”

“I. Lost. My. Mind,” one TikToker said while another agreed that the performance “Gave me chills 💯💯😍😍.”
