Prince Harry has admitted he "got into a lot of trouble" with Meghan Markle when they first started dating.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first met on Instagram before going on a blind date at Soho House in London . The cultural differences between the pair - with Harry being a British Royal and Meghan an American actress - caused some issues between the pair as they got to know each other.
During an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert , Harry revealed there was a transatlantic barrier with Meghan. He explained how he had to learn a lot of American terms when they started dating.

After revealing his favorite sandwich is a cheese and ham toastie with Dijon mustard on top, host Stephen was confused about what he meant. Harry had to explain that a "toastie" made in a "toasting machine" would be known as a "grilled sandwich" or "panini press" in America.
The Duke of Sussex then admitted he struggled with American and British terms when he first got together with Meghan. "I have to be so careful with these questions as the Americanisms to Britishisms is very different," he explained. "It got me and my wife into a lot of trouble in the beginning of our relationship."
Harry then confessed the word "fanny" caused the most confusion, which means bottom in America but something a bit more intimate to Brits. As the audience laughed, he joked: "I was going to talk about BAH-sil and BAY-sil."

Harry also admitted he was confused over American terms like "sidewalk" instead of "pavement" and "horseback riding" instead of simply "horse riding". He joked: "Where else are you going to ride the horse," before mimicking someone trying to grip a horse's belly, adding: "That instantly becomes a meme."
During the Q&A session, he revealed Gladiator is his favorite action movie and admitted that he should probably discard his torn boxer shorts. Harry also shared other amusing responses, including choosing "cockpit" when asked if he preferred a window or aisle seat on a plane, and expressing a desire to be reincarnated as an elephant.
Harry then shared a sweet tribute to his wife as he said that his favorite scent was Meghan and described his future in five words: "freedom, happiness, clarity, space and love".
