    Parker County Peach Festival, largest in Texas, is this weekend. Here's what you should know

    The Parker County Peach Festival returns for another year, transforming historic downtown Weatherford into a peach lover's paradise.

    This annual celebration promises a delightful array of juicy peach treats, live music, artisan crafts, and family-friendly activities, drawing more than 50,000 visitors from near and far.

    Here's everything to know about the 39th annual festival this weekend.

    When and where is the event?

    The Parker County Peach Festival is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 13. The event is located on the square in the historic Downtown Weatherford, about 20 miles west of Fort Worth, surrounding the Parker County Courthouse.

    The Peach Pedal will also take place Saturday morning. The ride will begin in the Weatherford High School parking lot. Start times differ:

    • The 61-mile ride starts at 7:30 am
    • The 38-mile ride starts at 7:45 am
    • The 28-mile and 8-mile rides start at 8:00 am

    Registration for the bike ride is available online.

    How much are tickets?

    • Adults: $10
    • Children (5-12): $5

    Tickets are available at the door and online.

    What is the weather forecast?

    The Weather Channel forecast shows temperatures from the mid-70s to mid-90s. Rain is not expected. First Baptist Church will open as a cooling center, and hydration sponsors will provide free water throughout the festival.

    Where to park?

    There's open parking along the streets in neighborhoods nearby. There's also a parking lot where First Monday Trade Days is located off Santa Fe Drive and Highway 180.

    The event also offers free shuttles in air-conditioned buses. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off occurs as follows:

    Shuttle pick-up/drop-offs are at:

    • Weatherford College/W. Oak & Waco St.
    • Ninth Grade Center/W. Oak & Waco St. This is also handicap accessible.
    • Heritage Park/Palo Pinto & Alamo St.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Dogs are allowed but discouraged due to high temperatures of streets and sidewalks. Additionally, large crowds may spook animals.
