    Slight increase for chance of showers, storms

    The National Weather Service in Duluth updated its hazardous weather outlook Friday morning for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. The update slightly increases the chance for rain and thunderstorms for Price County along with very very hot temperatures over the weekend.

    The weather service forecast for Price County is a 20% chance of rain between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, followed by a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. The high should be near 84 degrees with a calm southwest wind around 5 mph.

    On Friday night the 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms continues before 9 p.m., followed by a slight chance of rain between 9 and 11 p.m. The low will be around 60 degrees with a 5 mph south wind.

    On Saturday there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 pm., with a high near 84 degrees expected and a south wind of 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. On Saturday night there is a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low around 65 degrees, and a south wind of around 5 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.

    On Sunday there is a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high near 86 degrees and a calm, west wind around 5 mph in the afternoon. On Sunday night there is a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., with a low around 62 degrees.

    There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high near 84 degrees and light, variable southwest winds of 5 to 10 mph in the morning with gusts as high as 15 mph. On Monday night there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., with a low around 57 degrees and a west wind of around 5 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph.
