Man Arrested After Pepsi, Cleaning Spray Assault

Lake Panasoffkee, FL - A Sumter County man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a woman with a bottle of Pepsi and a cleaning spray.

Authorities say 47-year-old Antonio Acosta was arrested following the assault.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call reporting a disturbance on July 5th.

The victim claimed Acosta poured Pepsi and a cleaning solution on her following a verbal argument.

Evidence at the scene corroborated the victim's account.

Acosta was initially arrested and released, however, he was taken back into custody two days later for violating a no-contact order.

Acosta is currently being held without bond.
