Disney Screened 35 Minutes of Deadpool & Wolverine for Fans and They LOVED It

The first reactions to Deadpool & Wolverine are incredible, and we say that it may be the funniest Marvel film ever made, but do people agree with us?

Disney screened an exclusive look at the first 35 minutes of the film for fans and press at an event in London's Hammersmith Eventim Apollo, and even that small amount of footage was met with rapturous applause and squeals of glee from Marvel fans.

The climate in the MCU fandom has been frosty since Avengers: Endgame , with the consensus being that Marvel fans are experiencing fatigue from the overload of new films and series for them to catch up on.

However, that did not feel present in the room last night as Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool breathes new life into the MCU, stepping into it for the first time alongside Hugh Jackman.

While spoilers for what was in the footage are being kept under lock and key, the first reactions have been flooding social media – and they are an overwhelming wave of positivity.

Movies Editor at Digital Spy, Ian Sandwell, said, "if you're still worried Deadpool has been tamed, the bloody and outrageous first set piece will resolve any worries".

DC World also hyped up the opening sequence, saying, "This has an incredible opening, amazing story".

Other reactions say, "This might end up being the best Deadpool movie yet", it provides "genuine hope for the future of Marvel", and they "can't wait to see the whole thing" – even warning "this movie might blow your mind".

The energy in the room really was palpable, and it feels like Deadpool & Wolverine will revitalise fans who have been waiting to feel the epic highs the MCU has to offer when it's at its peak.
