Lionel Messi's wife mocked for 'posting squat videos to strangers on the internet'

Lionel Messi's wife Antonela Roccuzzo has been mocked online after sharing a video of herself performing squats in the gym.

Roccuzzo, who married childhood sweetheart Messi back in 2017, recorded a clip of her 'squats and hip thrust day' in Miami and controversially chose to post it on Instagram.

The Argentina and Inter Miami WAG was quickly trolled by fans on social media, with one writing: ' Messi ’s wife got bored and felt the need to record her gym session.

'The need for online attention is becoming a serious issue. Smh'.

Another user posted: 'tough scene when the wife is posting squat videos to strangers on the internet'.

A third commented: 'I still don’t understand the point of recording yourself working out.'

While one simply put: 'Normal 2024 behavior'.

Roccuzzo first met Messi when the soccer legend was just five years old in their hometown of Rosario, Argentina, but only confirmed their relationship publicly almost 17 years later in 2009.

The loved-up couple already have three sons together; Thiago, 11, Mateo, 8, and Ciro, 6.

And earlier this year, Messi revealed he is hoping to add a daughter to his family at some point in the future.

'I would love to have a girl/daughter but right now, we're not trying,' the Argentina captain said in an interview with ESPN. 'There's nothing concrete right now.'

Messi, who helped Argentina reach the Copa America final on Tuesday night, has spent the last year with his family in Miami following his blockbuster transfer to MLS team Inter.

However, he recently admitted that he and Antonela are still not too familiar with the city's surroundings.

'No, the truth is that we don't go out much either,' Messi said when asked about his lifestyle in Miami. 'We live in the area where the club is located and we have a short drive to Miami.

'We go out, we've gone out a couple of times, but I still don't know it well.'
