Police responded Friday morning to reports of a person going under water in the Raccoon River, without reappearing. They suspended the search early Friday afternoon when they say debris and high water flow enhanced risk. Police then responded to a call Saturday evening for a report of a body in the water at the confluence of the two rivers, and they say they found a body near the SE 6th St bridge. They say early indications are that the body recovered Saturday evening, was the subject of Friday's efforts. The investigation is ongoing.
