Grab a blanket and some popcorn and head to these parks to watch free movies this summer. Here's where to go and what is playing.
Moorpark
Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit in the grass at Arroyo Vista Community Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road. Gates open an hour before showtime and movies begin at dusk. More information: moorparkca.gov/movies .

- Aug. 10: "Trolls Band Together" starts around 7:45 p.m.

Ojai
The Ojai Film Society will hold its summer series Fridays at 7:30 p.m. at the Libbey Bowl, 210 S. Signal St. Reserve tickets in advance and get more information at ojaifilmsociety.org .

Grab a spot on the sand or in the grass for the city's free movie nights . July, August and September movies will be shown at Hueneme Beach Park, 550 E. Surfside Drive. Santa Paula
The Santa Paula Parks and Recreation Department's free summer movies begin at dusk. More information: 805-933-4226, ext. 350.
- July 12: "A Million Miles Away" at Las Piedras Park, off 13th Street.
- Aug. 16: "Inside Out 2" at Teague Park, off Steckel Drive.
Simi Valley

- Aug. 9: "Trolls Band Together"
- For $5 per person, go to the “dive in” movie on July 27 at the Rancho pool, 1765 Royal Ave. "Surfs Up" starts at dusk.
Thousand Oaks
Free movies will start at sundown at Thousand Oaks Community Park, 2525 Moorpark Road. Grab a lawn chair, blanket and a picnic to watch. More information: crpd.org/movies .

Ventura
