    TF Green ranked #2 airport in US by Travel + Leisure survey

    WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport has been ranked the second best airport in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure readers.

    The magazine said more than 186,000 people completed their 2024 survey, casting more than 700,000 votes.

    Airports were rated based on access, check-in process, dining options, shopping and design. The final scores were an average of the total responses.

    Travel + Leisure noted that regional airports are popular due to their convenience and efficiency.

    “Among the praise for its lack of crowds and lines, superb cleanliness, and bountiful parking were an extraordinary number of comments about the bathrooms here,” the magazine said of T.F. Green.

    Gov. Dan McKee highlighted the ranking in a social media post .

    “From expanding destination marketing and direct flights, to becoming [Breeze Airways’] home base, we’re investing in our airport to spark economic activity in RI,” he wrote.

    Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in Minnesota won the top spot. Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in New Hampshire was the only other New England airport that made the top 10.
