Rihanna Goes Back To School In New Fenty X Puma Creeper Drop

Rihanna and Puma are taking their latest collaboration to the schoolyard. The FENTY X PUMA Creeper Phatty In Session is the latest edition of the original Creeper sneaker established by the two brands and adds a new colorway to the stacked-sole design.

Released on Thursday (July 11), the kicks now come in a triple-black color design and classic red and white corduroy. Both versions are available in women, men, and kids sizing, starting at $65 for youth and $120 for adults .

“Your whole school will be wearing the Creeper Phatty’s and this campaign plays with that vision,” described Rihanna in a press statement. “We chose these colors and material[s] very purposefully for back-to-school. The black-on-black corduroy remind[s] me of my very own childhood, a uniform-approved shoe with the twist I always wish I had.”

The aforementioned campaign creative directed by Bad Gal Riri herself is shot by Philippa Price and features Euphoria star Chloe Cherry, “the emo girl”, and film icon Anjelica Huston as various eccentric school-themed characters.

FENTY X PUMA reestablished their professional relationship in March 2023, after the partnership initiated in 2014 was dissolved in 2018. Arne Freundt, Chief Executive Officer at PUMA relayed the message “She’s back,” last spring to confirm the return.

The FENTY x PUMA Phatty Creeper launched in 2023, with the earth tone iteration, described as “a not-so-basic neutral with gold embellishments,” and available in totally taupe, green fog, and warm white, dropping earlier this year.
